哈囉我是阿滴,我是滴妹,今天我們要帶大家認識台灣美食
一提到台灣,絕對不會忘記的事情除了人情味之外,就絕對是美食了
那每次遇到外國人,都不知道要怎麼跟他解釋他現在正在吃的到底是什麼東西嗎?
今天我們就來帶你去吃 10 個道地經典的台灣美食,並且教你如何用英文跟外國人介紹這些台灣的特色小吃喔!
其實是我們自己想要吃

這個是台灣的蚵仔煎,那我們來介紹一下他的名字
Its literal meaning is 蚵仔 oyster, 煎 fry
那我們來介紹裡面的成分,裡面有蚵仔、然後有蛋跟蔬菜
So, it’s made with small oysters, fresh veggies and it’s held together by whipped eggs and starch
再來我們來形容一下口感
The flavor comes from the oysters and the eggs, and usually there is a savory sauce to spice it up
And also, there’s the crunchiness of the vegetables
好,該我了!這是台灣傳統的早餐,燒餅油條!
Its literal meaning is 燒 burn, 餅 pastry and 油 oil, 條 stick
那英文的話也可以說 oven rolls 跟 fried bread sticks
那這兩個都是用麵粉做的,只是一個是用烤的,一個是用炸的
So, they’re both made of dough, one is baked and the other deep fried, so they go together as a pair!
那我們吃的時候還會常常配上豆漿 soy bean milk
有些人說這種早餐很不健康,但是好吃就是好吃
Some may say that this is not your ideal “healthy breakfast”, but it’s the classic breakfast here in Taiwan
那接下我們是看到我們台灣的滷肉飯,那我們來介紹他的名字
Its literal meaning is 魯 marinate, 肉 meat, 飯 rice
那他基本上就是滷肉淋在白飯上面。So, it’s ground pork marinated and boiled in soy sauce served on top of rice
那我個人還蠻喜歡吃滷肉飯的
It’s a really common delicacy here in Taiwan because of how well the two goes together. It’s salty, meaty, and tasty!
那接下來我們來看最有名的臭豆腐。Its literal meaning is 臭 smelly, 豆腐 tofu
這個是豆腐發酵變成臭豆腐,那他可以用蒸的,可以用煮的,也可以用炸的。So it’s fermented tofu and can be steamed, stewed, or deep-fried
不過因為他的臭味,很多外國人都不敢吃,這個勉強不來。但是你可以這樣跟他們說: It doesn’t taste as bad as it smells! Go ahead and try it!
那再來是茶葉蛋,我有一陣子早餐每一天都吃這個。那我們來看一下他的名字喔。Its literal meaning is 茶 tea, 葉 leaf, 蛋 egg
所以他的作法就是把蛋放進去茶裡面滾,so it is made by boiling eggs in black tea broths
那因為在所有的台灣便利商店都找得到,所以我們可以這樣子說
This can be found in all convenience stores in Taiwan and it is as nutritious as it is delicious
You can taste the sweetness of the tea and the saltiness of the soy sauce
這是台灣常見的豬血糕。Its literal meaning is 豬 pig, 血 blood, 糕 cake
那這個真的是用豬血做的喔,然後用糯米成型。So, it’s made with pig’s blood, sticky rice, soy broth, and is usually coated in peanut flour
那這個對外國人來說也是一個蠻奇怪的食物喔,又黑黑的然後又是血
不過你可以說 It’s basically sticky rice, it doesn’t taste like blood at all! Don’t let the looks fool you. It’s a very common food in Taiwan
好那接下來我們要看的是,蚵仔麵線,「台語:額阿米耍」
那我們來看一下他的名字喔。所以呢,its literal meaning is 蚵仔 oyster, 麵 noodle, 線 string
那通常就是麵線嘛,那裡面會加上一些其他的好料,像是蚵仔阿、大腸、肉羹等
So, it’s made of thick soup with goodies like oysters, intestines, meatballs. And sometimes, coriander is added for extra flavor
麵線的話常常拿來當宵夜,他的麵很濃稠、口味很重
所以我們可以說:The vermicelli soup is thick and a little bit sticky, usually rich in flavor due to all the goodies inside
接下來是我最愛的雞排!Its literal meaning is 炸 deep-fried, 雞 chicken, 排 fillet
這麼大的雞排是台灣特有,用大塊的雞肉下去油炸
So it’s flattened chicken deep-fried to a crisp, and it’s usually quite large
那雞排當然就是又酥又脆,the outer skin is very crispy while the inside is juicy and tender
阿嗚
牛肉麵就是招牌。那我們來看一下他的名字。Its literal meaning is 牛肉 beef, 麵 noodles
那牛肉麵的話裡面有牛肉當然、然後有牛肉湯、然後有蔬菜、然後當然還有麵
所以你可以說:It's made with braised beef, beef broth, vegetables, and Chinese noodles
牛肉麵在台灣還有全國性的比賽喔,這就代表台灣人有多麼愛吃
So we even have national beef noodle competition here in Taiwan. That just goes to show how much we love eating beef noodles
但是我覺得牛肉麵的關鍵在湯頭
So, the soup of the beef noodles is usually simmered for a long time so it’s very sweet and that also goes into the noodles as well
最後我們看到台灣最有名的小籠包。Its literal meaning is 小 little, 籠 basket, 包 bun
這個精緻的小東西裡面有豬肉,那會在籠子裡面蒸到熟
So this is minced pork wrapped into a dumpling and prepared in small, steaming, bamboo baskets
那小籠包的重點就是多汁香甜
this delicacy is juicy and meaty, and it’s easy to eat in one bite. You’ll fall in love with your first bite!
